What about end links using this combo? Sorry if this is a stupid question, I'm currently trying to learn as much as possible about suspension setups. I'm assuming that because the Dinan springs lower the car then end links are necessary to eliminate sway preload.
I’d get the turner sealed adjustable end links in stock length. That said, the Dinan springs generally create little to no preload, so you might be able to get away without them. Might be worthwhile to install and see if you need them before ordering.

Do you care about ride height/ wheel gap? My brother installed dinan springs/koni yellow's before I bought the car. It rides pretty nice, but imo it looks a little too high with arc 8s. I'm going to look at KWs or something adjustable eventually to lower it a bit.

Idk if I have an accurate photo to include but I'll try.

Thanks for those pictures. I care about it somewhat, but don't want to be worrying about scraping on every raised surface I encounter. However, from your pictures, it looks like ~0.5" lower than the Dinan springs would still be fine. Might have to look into other springs.

Lower springs take you out of the functional range of the Konis.

For that matter, lower than the Dinan spring setup pretty quickly takes you out of the optimal range of the e46 M3 suspension geometry. Moves you to form over function.

Good to know. I'll stick with the Dinan springs then.

Ah gotcha. I've gotten used to it but once in awhile I see someones lowered car on here and start clicking on coilovers threads. My shocks were also set to the firmest setting by a shop that must have disregarded the instructions. Supposedly the instructions say your not supposed to start out on the stiffest settings. I figured I'd mention that as the m3forum post that talked about this setup are gone I believe.

I said screw it and went with ohlins road and track setup.

Am I going to need anything else for the install?

The front looks fine, it's the rear that looks like it could be a little lower. I'll get some better photos. I can look to see if the end links are stock if that helps any?

Depends on your budget and intended use. You will likely be happy with either if you're just daily driving and want to lower the car and have it handle a bit better. However as with everything, remember that you get what you pay for and there is a reason certain suspension brands / kits cost more than others.

After doing some more research I think I'm going to go with the Dinans, but more pictures won't hurt! And thanks, confirmation for the end links would be great, although I might just swap them out anyway to get fresh new units in there.

I ended up switching from BC's to Fortune and the car noticeably better. The spring rates were different so it wasn't exactly an apples to apples comparison.
I have GC Coilovers right now and was looking at the Fortune Auto 500 coilover setup with 9/11kg springs according to them. My issue is I getting a sound that sounds like springs rotating from the front after replacing the front shocks from GC 3 times! Just annoyed they couldnt send me the correct shocks three times in a row so i want to move over to a company that i can easily source the right parts from. Its is between KW V3's and Fortune 500's at the moment.

Please let me know what you think of your fortune's? Thanks.

I think Liam is planning a writeup on his new Fortune Muellers in the build journals section. Keep an eye out for it.

Dinan springs/ koni yellows. 2 fingers barely fit in the front as shown in the photo, 2 fingers easily in the rear. It was 90 degrees today so I didn't jack the car up to check out the end links. I took a photo of a rear one.

If you want another $1K~ option, I've heard good things about the ISC Coilovers: https://www.bimmerworld.com/Suspensi...s-Incl-M3.html

They hardly get mentioned on this forum, and I know many here wouldn't touch a coilover set under $2k, but maybe good for you to look into? Ground Control also sells an entry level kit for sub $2K.

That's the spring rates I currently have and I really like the way it rides. I originally had 11/16 kg springs and it was way too stiff. The spring noise sounds like what I experienced with my KW's, The radial bearings in the Fortunes solved this problem and I get NO noise from the front coilovers.
