Easier Way to put the car on Jack Stands?

I have a low profile jack, a stack of 2x8 and 4 jack stands and it's a hassle getting the car up on all 4 or even 2. I would first have to lift the car at the regular jack point, enough to get my 2x8 stack under the tire, then lower it, and then I would be able to lift the front under the center jack point high enough to put on the front two jack stands. The rear is even more stressful as once the front is up it's hard to get the jack onto the rear center jacking point.

I considered a quick jack system and also had the Rennstand before, but I'm looking for a cheaper solution. Thoughts? I just emailed this guy if he would be willing to make his product for us BMW guys: https://liftbars.com. Maybe a group buy if anyone is interested?

With stock front bumper and no splitter when my car was slammed i was able to drive the front wheels onto 2x4 and get to front jack point easily with low profile floor jack.

Similar to the last post, I bought two pairs of these inexpensive ramps and can reach both front & rear center jack points with a 2.5T low profile jack. My ride height is around 13.5"f/13.2"r. The front is very tight, but I can get it with just this.

I stack two 2x4s staggered such that I can roll one of the front wheels onto them in stages, and that's enough clearance to allow me to reach the front jack point coming in from an angle.

Sorry but plastic (or carbon fiber) ramps make me nervous not to trust them.

1. So you have to jack up both sides, one at a time to shim the tires with 2x8? I think you can cut these step down by jack one side high, then slide the floor jack under the front center jack point.
2. Set the front on jack stands at their lowest, then jack up the rear, jack increase the height as needed on the jack stands.

Car sitting normally, I use a little scissor jack (from an old honda civic) and lift up one front corner under the jack point. That gives me plenty of room to get the "low profile" jack under the bumper and to the hocky puck on the reinforcement plate. Then jack stands up front, then go around to the rear and jack at the flat portion of our subframe.

Been using various versions of plastic ramps for...20 years? They're a lot cheaper now, so that's nice. Never seen a single set fail. Probably half the field uses them when I did the drift thing for about 10yrs. Not much risk involved.

The wood set I built? Those cracked, but they got a lot of use and abuse.

I would not get under a car with plastic ramps but I would have no issue using them to lift the car onto jack stands.

Ramps, pieces of wood, or just get quick jacks and never look back. You’ll spend the money and immediately be glad you did as soon as you use them. I beat around the bush for like 3 years and wish I had just done it sooner.

2 floor jacks. Jack up the side, jack up the front by the pad on the thrust plate. Jack up the side again high enough tk get a long reach jack under the car and jack up the rear by the rear V brace plate.
