Ha, about 12lbs. Maybe a little less on an M3 since the trunk doesn't have a spare tub. It's a good deal of effort to be sure though!

Why haven't you deleted the charcoal canister yet? If you are doing all of this?

Smell and vapor emissions - my car is a daily street car.

The early euro charcoal canister is smaller and lighter though, if someone reading is looking to save space and weight. You’ll need to disable DMTL heater if you’re running a US tune I think but that’s it.

I've finished a charcoal evap system removal/delete. I've posted pictures of an m3 canister and 3 series. On a M3 you will only have 1 line coming from the engine bay. Reg 3 series will have 2. On the M3, it is routed from the evap purge valve to the charcoal canister. I removed the evap purge valve, removed the lines/connections. I also removed the charcoal canister, the canister itself has a vent. That is deleted, the fuel tank also has a vent. That is being retrofitted, with a 5/8 x 3/8 ID hose barb reducer. You then attach 3/8 fuel hose to the barb, make a few loops and place a fuel filter on the end of your new vent hose. :thumbsup: edit, you will have to drop the gas tank to do this mod, correctly and completely. You can then code out the evap pump, that connects to the bottom of the intake manifold. zero emissions issues.
