Vorsteiner used to make a CF roof panel with the sunroof cutout back in the day: https://e46m3.bimmerpost.com/forums/...4&postcount=27

OEM roof? I believe it is 6 - 1x1, biaxial, a layer of I don't know what, core, biaxial and I think a spread tow is used on the underside.

Most aftermarket roof will have a cosmetic layer (1x1) then either multiple layers of a heavier 2x2 cloth or 1x1, 2x2 core, 2x2. This way is far cheaper in terms of materials, labor, and minimizing mistakes..

That is interesting, confusing, but not surprising I guess haha. My bet is still on it's a wrap. Unless that one car just so happens to have a very oddly specific old school piece on it (which it could)

m3dragon's car had no expense spared on it. He bought it brand new and did a full CSL build with a 100k+ spreadsheet. That is a real carbon Vorsteiner roof. He swapped it out for OE CSL later on.

Is that the red car that other guy was saying he saw for sale?

There is worse out there. Once I saw an ///M AMG Type R RS badged 530i with an ebay rear wing...mounted backwards. He was Asian...and we officially disowned him...hence the fact that he WAS Asian.

I want to do it, but i don't want to make my phoenix yellow look tacky, I also think painting it kind of defeats the purpose
                          Conflicted.

Talked to 2M Autowerks today. $2000 covers the installation AND the removal + reinstallation of front and rear glass. Going to get started with the install next week.

Also, they are going to use my slicktop headliner to make a mold and start producing slicktop headliners. So everyone that wants a headliner should have access to them soon.

Oh well then…that’s interesting. Good move as the oem headliners are now NLA.

What I want to know is, for $4k plus tax, do you have to provide ANY parts? Or is that a complete arrive and drive type of thing?
