OK. I was under impression that Turner box has different flow than typical CSL box, so does that mean it will require custom tune?Originally posted by heinzboehmer View Post

In any case, what would one expect to pay for a tune of this box?BMW / E46M Interior & Trim Restoration.

Ah if you're looking for a canned tune then I can imagine any CSL-ish tune would work okay. If you install a MAP sensor then the stock CSL tune would probably also be fine. But yes, to get the most driveability/performance out of it you would need a custom tune.Originally posted by TexaZ3 View Post

They never came with a filter? Mine didn't.Originally posted by TexaZ3 View PostECS has them "on sale". These don't include the filter anymore, so the price is less now, but I guess that makes it more affordable. Still need to get the filter, though which will put you back at about hte same price as it was before.

I thought earlier versions did. I might be mistaken though, even their installation manual explicitly says the filter is included with the intake.Originally posted by ATB88 View Post

Yeah the filter used to come only with the “kit” on the earlier version. Now it doesn’t.06 ZCP SMG | HTE CSL MAP QuaranTune | SL CSL Airbox | Eventuri Scoop | DMG Strut Bar | RE El Diablo | CPI Euro200R | AP Headers | Porsche BBK | ST XTA | TMS 3-Pulleys/F-Sway/Mono FCAB | AKG Trans/diff/Subframe/RTAB | SPL RCA | SGT SCZA Trunk | ACL | Beisan | Redish | AFD E85 |

Ah I see. Yeah sorry I thought you meant filter came with the basic box purchase. In any case the price of the basic box is down near what the groupbuy price was, so, a pretty good deal I think.Originally posted by TexaZ3 View Post

In other news, while still waiting for my replacement v2 box, the port for the secondary air shutoff line has de-bonded itself from my box and I now have a giant vacuum leak. Actually pretty surprised how well the car runs with the leak. I guess it doesn't really affect the ability for the MAP sensor to get an accurate reading.
I know that there were a lot of people who received their boxed with the port detached from damage during shipping, but mine arrived in perfect shape and the port was very securely affixed to my box until last week, after running the box for 4 months. Really hoping they've sorted this issue out on the V2 boxes. If this happens again on my V2 I'm demanding a refund and getting a Karb. Fingers crossed!

I experienced the same issue with my V1 box; the first run quality control definitely wasn't what I would've expected.Originally posted by ATB88 View Post

The S54 builds no vacuum in the airbox, which is why your car runs fine. Vacuum is only present between the throttle bodies and the combustion chamber and since we've got ITBs, that volume is mostly restricted to the air rail (which is why MAPs sensors and the brake booster have to attach there). What you do have now is a path for unfiltered air and other foreign objects to enter your engine. I would epoxy that thing back on just to be safe.Originally posted by ATB88 View PostIn other news, while still waiting for my replacement v2 box, the port for the secondary air shutoff line has de-bonded itself from my box and I now have a giant vacuum leak.
