Yeah I'm really excited and looking forward to it! Hesitant to install it right now, though, because I'm trying to diagnose some longstanding fuel trim issues (car running quite lean) and I feel like mods (in this case switching to a MAP setup and CSL tune) will just exacerbate the issue or make it harder to pinpoint. But on the other hand I've been chasing this issue for two years, so, if I keep waiting to solve it the airbox may never make it onto the car :/

Feels weird sitting here, 2.5 years into e46 m3 ownership, with the big expensive mod that I told myself that I'd never waste money on because it couldn't possibly be worth it sitting on my coffee table staring me in the face.
Haha haha I thought the same thing when I got mine... I have got no shipping info yet 馃槕 Were you in the group buy or did you order from Turner Seperate?

GB. I didn't get an e-mail from anyone, or anything like that. I had to ask Turner directly for it. If you just go to the product page on turner, an automated chat window will come up. Say you were part of the M3F group buy and are wondering what your shipping status is, the person on the other end might be confused at first but will eventually put someone named Sean K on the line, which is who is in charge of the GB on Turner's end. Super helpful guy, he should be able to tell you exactly where you are in line for shipping if it hasn't shipped yet. If you ordered a gloss finish box, chances are it didn't ship in the first batch, but the next batch will ship in the next 10 days or so. If you ordered matte, it may well be on its way.

If no one wants the "package deal" from me (Turner Box, CSL Breather, CSL shutoff, Vent Valve Clip/screws) I'll sell them. But please don't contact as I feel like someone out of the 3 people that contacted me may buy the whole thing. That being said, you can just zip tie it somehow.

Cool, thanks! Yeah definitely interested, let me know if the parts become available

Actually, wait, sanity check: from what I remember, the installation kit Leighton offered us with the box was just breather hose and shutoff valve, right? Did you do your homework and order the clip separately or was the vent valve clip/screws included in the installation kit? I actually didn't receive my installation kit due to a mixup -- they mistakenly sent me the "SMG package" (CSL SMG reservoir and a bottle of CHF11) instead of the installation kit. If the clip's included in the installation kit then I'm covered and my complaints above are dumb. I just for some reason have a specific memory of the kit only being the breather hose and shutoff valve.

I got a complete list from another website (when M3F went down) and ended up with a few things I didn't need. And yea, the GB install kit only included the Breather and Shutoff.
However now that heinzboehmer pointed out there is an extra threaded hole I didn't plug in my Karb. box and since I just shot a photo of the misc. hardware I had I noticed that one of the 2 fillister screws I got to attach the vent valve clip piece is perfect for the threaded hole.
I've got the cabin air off and am using it, lol. So whoever gets the vent valve will only get one BMW screw and will either have to order another BMW screw or simply go to the hardware store, sorry, but I'm lazy.

Ah right, where the starter cable clip would go. Turner box doesn't have a hole for that. Nor the guide clips for the cable and vacuum line at the back.

looking at the airbox it looks like its design by tuner and manufactured by karbonius.

I see a lot of karbonius (first gen) references in the box.

Does anyone know why they choose to go with such a radical trumpet design?

If you decide to go with Schmiedmann, let me know I will one too so we can split the shipping.

Actually it looks like Turner makes their own, it's cheap and in stock: https://www.turnermotorsport.com/p-588712-bracket/

Saw that on their insta a few days ago and thought the same thing. It鈥檒l be interesting to see dyno numbers of the box compared to the regular CSL unit.

If they don't come from the same car, same day, same dyno, same tuner, etc... Don't think they will be anyhow meaningful.

Would be fascinating if these were manufactured by Karb. But if TMS and Karb were collaborating, I don't see why TMS would have changed the design so much, unless they were able to prove definite gains over the current Karb design. Or the change in trumpet design somehow makes the fab significantly cheaper? The most confusing thing is that this would directly undercut sales of Karb boxes, so, why would Karb do it? Would also expect that Turner would be advertising the fact that Karb's making their boxes because that would only help give people confidence.

Cubieman : I dare you to back-to-back dyno your Karb box vs the TMS box when it arrives? You actually have a unique opportunity to be the first to provide data on this since you'll have both boxes until you sell your TMS. Switching between the two boxes at the dyno shouldn't take more than 20 minutes, everything's just plug and play now that you have your Karb box install done. Even though it's just on the stock CSL tune, it would be very interesting to see if they make different power...

All you airbox guys should throw the man a few dollars to offset dyno time and hassle and I'm sure cub could do it . I'm ESS SC otherwise I would.
