If you got in on the group buy for Turner, I got everything up and running including MAP kit from Erik here on the forums COVID-19 , Turner silicone boots, the install package for manual from the group buy for maybe a hair under 2,500CAD. The karb box I want starts at 2799USD without shipping or Canadian border rap3. Lets agree that the quality and finish of Karb is oem+. For the price I paid, yes there are some hiccups but factor that you're dealing with pseudo Turner reps, that were super quick in giving me the V2, the experience has been pleasant so far. Im concerned about the lower carbon fibre tabs breaking again.

I'd do it again, only now I know the end goal is Karb, but all things considered and my current setup 325whp/250wtq from HTE with this is nothing to scoff at and all smiles when on the road . Not mad at the noise one bit.
At Apmotorsport.co.uk (where I bought mine) you can get just the Karbonious airbox for $2060.

I purchased the Karbonius box with the carbon trumpets (which are a bit extra, +$150) and OEM snorkel for $2800 shipped, no air filter or other parts included in that price.

Definitely more expensive however I am glad I went this route seeing what happened with the Turner boxes. Hindsight is 2020 though.

I was part of the Turner GB on old forum and simply sold it as I was tired of waiting and got a Karbonious.
To me the extra cost is worth it, likely less chance of it comming apart and potentially damaging my engine.
Turner will get it right and I'm not trying to knock their product, it's great they can offer a CSL style intake at a competitive price. I believe Karbonius also had issues with their first boxes and this is an ISO 9001 facilty we are talking about.

E46 M3 CSL Airbox made by Karbonius. This is by far the best Carbon Fibre Airbox we have seen and dealt with in the past and the attention to detail is almost identical to the Genuine BMW AG E46 M3 CSL Airbox supplied by BMW, manufactured by Die Wethje. These boxes are made from the finest quality Pre-preg carbon fibre 2 x 2 twill material which when completed makes these boxes ultra light and rigid. After the moulding process is finished in the state of the art Aluminium mould the part is then left in the Autoclave and this process is the finishing touches to a truly superb piece. The 'M Power' sticker which can be seen on the top of the Air collecter is supplied with the Airbox. Option 1Plastic trumpets version: This is the same airbox but with plastic trumpets (same as the OEM CSL). This goes with 2 year warranty. Airbox is cured in autoclave at 120ºC and 3 BAR prssure. Airbox is cured in autoclave at 135ºC and 5 BAR pressure and has 1 extra varnish coat applied. With all these issues with turner I’d stay far away.

The previous owner of my car had installed the Karbonious and it’s been pretty rock solid. Just gotta be ready to get a proper tune to support it. After 2 failed tuners I ended up dropping the cash for Randy @ Epic and it solved all the tune issues.

Sample size is pretty small though, no? Would be interesting to know percentage of those with issues.

I apologize in advance for the mistakes, I used a translator. Yesterday we finished the installation of the intake, everyone who says that there should be 2-3 hours, gentlemen, you are either dissembling, or did something wrong. The installation took us about 2 days or about 15 hours in general, we had to make a bracket for the SMG tank, since drilling the body is a very bad idea, the installation itself is not difficult, but a lot of parts had to be adjusted in place so that there would be no tensions ( I suspect because of this many have problems, there are some nozzles because of the curves of the mountings just constantly under tension), the transfer to the map took about an hour, and that is because how long it took to prescribe my own wine (inpa was broken).

The photo is not yet the final installation, I really wanted to ride and did not take a photo, today I will try to shoot a video on board with sound, since the CSL intake and exhaust bank of Eisenman gave an incredible combination.

                🤣 I run towards danger

I bought a broken box on purpose and fixed it. Fitment and finish was perfect. I did epoxy everything just in case. JB Weld makes a great epoxy. I wish I would've lost my smell before I used it though because wow it stinks.

I contacted Turner again. I am still not allowed to talk to anyone who is in the loop on this issues. I am being told by the customer service rep to return my box and the PST department will try to find an equivalent part to send out sooner than May. So I had to spend 20 minutes educating the rep on their product and why there would not be an equivalent. Now I am on hold... This is a great lesson for business owners on the forum on how NOT to run your business. Warranty claims IE existing clients go to the front of the line and should not have to call multiple times and reeducate a new service rep each time.

I think I see some carbon fiber down in the brake duct area on this image, did you buy or make something to direct more fresh air towards the intake?
