We'd love if it wasn't so expensive, but as you saw first hand, a lot went into that kit, so Slon priced it accordingly. We still have a couple rear strengthening walls in stock, but we'll need to reorder the triangulation kit.

Thanks for the review. Given how well the SLON brace works, it stands to reason it is actually doing a lot of “work”. It’s actually functioning and dealing with the forces of a moving car. So any ideas on fatigue life?
I mean, it is carbon fiber...

I would expect it to last as long as the car.

I don't know of any failures from the OE F82 braces in carbon/alu.

Nice. Carbon has a nearly infinite fatigue life, it’s just not very good in pure compression and can fatigue much more quickly in that specific load case in high stress (there are factors that can affect this of course, like temperature). Aluminum, on the other hand, has the lowest fatigue life of basically any of the materials you might choose. The stock strut brace parts are aluminum.

              The more you know.

I have actually broken my stock strut tower brace twice, now that you mention it...

If you only use your car in a way where it doesn't actually make sense to be driving an M3, then, yes, this product will not benefit you.

However much you paid for each of your cars, let alone all 6 of them?

Thanks for the posts and info guys. I want this thing. So sick. Wonder what the car feels like with this, a cage and rear strut brace/reinforcements. Might be my path in the future.

My with a cage at 2900lbs incl driver and fuel with some aero...it is stupid and insanely fun. I literally coast when I'm behind a car going into a turn. The car is quite responsive and controllable despite my soft-ish springs.

If you're going for a full cage, then might as well skip those and just tie the cage in everywhere (strut towers, subframe mounting points, etc.). Not going to be very street friendly though...
