if outside, some pinholes in an unfinished part is normal. Clear coating should fill in the pinholes. The part needs tk be sanded before spraying so the white dots could be dust stuck under the clear coat.

Which brand roof is this? Aren't these roofs supposed to be made from multiple layers to give it the strength that is required for a structural component?
I have seen light shining through the weave on non structural parts such as a CSL diffuser.
