The Karb strut bar seems like a big waste as well. I do not see any benefit to carbon fiber in this application. It is just burning money-unless this is cheaper than Rogue/Mason, which I doubt.
chassis with OEM strut brace vs no brace at all showing 1.5% difference in chassis torsional rigidity.
fundamental difference that our reinforcement has third fixing point on the bulkhead. this is the game changer and moves our solution to an absolutely different level.
i'll write this again, 1.5% on any usual strut brace VS 18% on our triangle design. lets continue from here

I think that it would've been a bit on the pricey side even in the best of times, but this economy (especially) sucks right now for this kinda stuff! Still following though...

Regarding triangulation, isn't the strut towers already tied to the firewall through the drug bins? The Z4 Ms doesn't have the bins so they get a triangular brace. Anyways, this strut bar looks way more robust. I always resisted forking out big money for a strut bar because none of them attach to the firewall.2001 TiAG M3 - 6mt Coupe, Anthracite Impuse - SOLD

Sounds nice. Doubt most people will go all the way and actually install this. Can you even go back to stock?DD: /// 2011.5 Jerez/bamboo E90 M3 · DCT · Slicktop · Instagram

It's possible that it doesn't extend out into the engine bay anyway, so maybe the stock pieces fit back in with it still attached.2002 Topasblau M3 - Coupe - 6MT - Karbonius CSL Airbox - MSS54HP Conversion - Kassel MAP - SSV1 - HJS - PCS Tune - Beisan - MK60 Swap - ZCP Rack - Nogaros - AutoSolutions - 996 Brembos - Slon - CMP - VinceBar - Koni - Eibach - BlueBus - Journal

Regardless, I'm still intrigued by this.
By the way, in the repair/replacement instructions for the BMW carbon roof, they tell
you to heat/bake the roof until the glue weakens to remove the old roof. So it's entirely possible that the method you suggested would remove that block. Whether or not the resins in the carbon block would be any good after that (reusable) I have not a clue...Build thread: Topaz Blue to Shark Blue
