I had my ZCPs refinished.... again. First attempt turned out great just the color wasn't what I was looking for. Searched around for someone that could replicate hypersilver and had them do a shade or so darker. Very E39 M5-ish or style 67 shadow chrome. There's a pic with OEM finished e92 ZCPs for comparison. They were able capture the depth and pearlescence of the OEM finish, plus an extremely smooth finish for a powdercoat. I couldn't be more satisfied, especially now that the fronts are NLA new.

tell me more about the gm5 fix.
^Scott repairs the GM5 'general module' among other things. If you have intermittent issues locking or unlocking via key and/or inside button, it's likely the GM5. In my case over the last 10 years I had intermittent issues unlocking passenger on second click, then last year or two it stopped unlocking either door ever. Had to use physical key or roll down window and grab interior handle. $120 for GM5 repair (some internal relays that go bad or something) and works perfect now. Some of the best money I've spent on the car. GM5 also controls power windows, wipers, etc. but I believe it's most common to have intermittent issues unlocking car

elrichmeister yes, but I believe they were his only used set. New BMW is selling them for something ridiculous around $5K
