what a glorious day it is. fitted the following:

    - plain weave karb race w oe-style hardware
    - Euro 02 harness, euro bracketry for 02s, genuine CSL air-rail and MAP in its factory spot (using MAP/IAT to MAF harness)
    - Genuine CSL headers
    - "Custom" Euro Section 1 courtesy of Gt4
    - replaced Conti DWS06 with some fresh PS4S (235/265) + cursory alignment

have only put 30 or so annoying rush hour/stop n go miles but this weekend we will address this. Car feels and sounds ah-mazing just around town. not lumpy farty or anything weird, and it was slog just now in a scorching 94F at 530p

enough talk here's pics of my box. in case anyone notices i am replacing that hideous thick not-OE corrugation next to TPS; i see it, i hate it

      Awesome stuff!

Was the "custom" in Euro section 1 in that you had a euro sec 1 built or a genuine euro section 1 modified?

Also, how does your R.E brace fit in regards to the plates> strut towers?

Mine has a decent gap on either side, about the innermost 1/3rd of each strurt tower top.

What a transformation! Any clearance issues between the RE Racebrace and the airbox?

ID:	366772 I know it doesn't look like much but needed to carry a torque wrench without the entire tool box and a special deep socket as I am on wheel studs and locks.

Carved the existing foam and my wrench is secure without taking up any extra space. You can do this for a breaker bar as well. etc...

Thanks. I believe it’s originally a USDM E85/Z4M Section 1, which is catted in addition to its headers, and the S1 has higher flowing cats than standard euro spec for e46. As I recall, it was custom fabricated to fit E46M by Gt4 who sold it to me; perhaps he will validate my schpiel

im embarrassed to admit I never even noticed the gap on the RE brace fitment. Would describe it identically to yours. Don’t love this tbh.

none whatsoever. I just took a crappy pic real quick, not sure if it helps.

This is correct. To fit a Z4M OEM catted section 1 to an E46 M3, you have to shorten the pipes before the cats by 3" and rotate the flanges beween section 1 and 2. Than it fits! I also add O2 & EGT bungs

Z4M section 1 are usually in better condition than E46 M3 euro one

Since I now have euro headers and section 1 I installed the euro program/tune 211323002001J424 .

                  1. Get the MSS54 DS2 Tool https://nam3forum.com/forums/forum/m...sh-counter-etc
                  2. Go to "DME Read" in the app.
                  3. Back up the Tune
                  4. Back up the program
                  5. Make sure your battery is charged and stable. I recommend power supply mode on a charger if you have one.
                  6. Download the Program "Full 211323002001J424.bin" from https://github.com/saildot4k/MSS54-X...20Full/MSS54HP
                  7. Download the Tune "211323002001J424 (EU3 6MT).bin" from https://github.com/saildot4k/MSS54-X...MSS54HP%20Bins
                  8. Go to "DME Programming" in the app.
                  9. Under "write program" select the "Full 211323002001J424.bin" you just downloaded and click "write program".
                  10. At completion I received an error message "program control: 'finalize programming' returned verify byte 0x0E. program and data references do not match'. I ignored this, perhaps because tune is not yet loaded.
                  11. I exited and restarted DS2
                  12. Go to "DME Programming" and under "write tune" select "211323002001J424 (EU3 6MT).bin" that you previously downloaded. Click "write tune".
                  13. You're done. You can check your version under "DME Info". Big thanks to karter16 and his helpers for creating this.

                    ...
Thanks for posting the detailed steps! Would be interesting to see what your impressions are before and after the updated program/tune.
