Bummer, that would of made my day if you had. I put hours and hours into that thread. I have all the photos from the thread but nothing else. 😟

I'VE FOUND IT!!!! Managed to find the magic combination to extract it from archive.org I've got it saved on my laptop now. PM me and I can arrange getting it to you. Will need some formatting etc. which will leave to you, but all the content in the post is there!

Comprehensive SMG-6MT page, S54 VANOS thread, etc are still there, have to do some work to repost/reformat it with pics, but old threads are there. I'm assuming admins are also trying to run scripts to get some of this ported over via webarchives.

I ended up saving my DIYs and converting them to PDFs as a form of risk mitigation. The old site had a tendency to be down often, which made me leery. Not to mention the photo hosting sites are unreliable as well. I'll share them here soon.

Good thinking. I wish I'd copied mine over the years. I did have photobucket pics though, so they were less useful.

Like I've mentioned on the e46fanatics thread, allowing an archived PDF file of the original thread would be amazing. Imagine also being able to archive each post if requested by the user, however, the original (first) post would be archived (pdf file) automatically. Preserving content, text format (copy/paste) and pictures in the pdf file.

I don't know, maybe I'll write the plugin if enough people also think it would benefit the forums. Let me know.

I just actually did the front driver side. Ran into a few snags... ive been taking pictures too. I rear bracket just shipped from RR so i expect to finish the front passenger tomorrow and then the rear this weekend.
