What did you do for your M3 today?

What is with the BMW branding on the top of the boot? Did install require modification of stock surround as some do? I too want the benefit of the direct mount without cutting out bits.

No that’s just my keychain. No drilling or cutting/modifying of anything is needed at all. In fact the 3 mounting holes the shifter needs are already pre drilled in the chassis

Brake flush w/vacuum extractor, seriously makes it so easy, fresh trans fluid, fuel filter and new 5" rear springs so my rear GC weighted jacks can articulate.

Unfortunately the car is still at the body shop in the New Rochelle quarantine so it's going to be a while before I get it back 😑

Yeah I think they stopped doing the trim. For BRG I recently used https://www.instagram.com/carbonized_bg/ . Very happy with his work

Feffman Were the bolt heads pre-drilled and have you had problems with flywheel bolts backing out?

This was the first time I've ever had flywheel bolts back out. So much for red Loctite. Probably a mistake of not getting threads cleaned properly when installed last time. Had to replace both discs in the Tilton clutch due to oil contamination, Tilton throw out bearing and the guide tube. Shop drilled each bolt in a jig as needed, then wire tired for security.
