This weekend, I went up to Lake Arrowhead with some PCA friends to do Oktoberfest up there. It was fun time and fun drive too.

Changed the oil last night in order to pull a sample for Blackstone. Car has 93k on it, and was originally mine but has been in my father's "care" for the last 12 years. Hasn't had the rod bearings, Vanos, or cooling system done.
I put Status Gruppe titanium tips on the ol' Alibaba special (Valvetronic, everyone's favorite) because I didn't like the 3.5” adjustable tips they provided. Burnt titanium wasn't exactly what I had in mind, but I picked these up for $150 and decided I could always polish the burn off later.
This will go on this weekend on the Imola to get a sound clip BEFORE I run CSL manifolds, Euro Section 1, USDM Section 2, and this Section 3. I'm trying to source a CSL Section 1 but it really might not be worth the cost.
After that, I'll put on the NLA Karbonius plastic trumpet airbox and CSL air rail for the finishing touches before moving on to light suspension adjustments.

Interested to hear this setup although I wouldn't swap my SS Sport out for one. The sound is perfect, just need the SS Catted section now LOL.
Sooooo is this available yet? I'd love to replace the eBay special I've had on for a decade and leave it “raw” carbon

Yes it’s available. I am waiting to get another one from JC to take more pictures to make a for sale thread. If you want one, you can be first on the list. Price is $1200usd shipping included. All CF parts I will sell in the future will be sold as GT4 Composites

Any particular reason you sprung for the older plastic-trumpet model?
Well, I have a full carbon Karbonius airbox on my JB M3 and was looking to get a second for the IM M3 and this one was available. I’m a sucker for NLA parts and the consensus is the plastic trumpet sounds different / better / worse than the full carbon and figured it give it a go.
