So my 2004 red convertible of 12 years and 173K miles was totaled in September by a motorcycle. I picked up a 2006 Carbon Black convertible with 119K miles. Here are some items I have done over the last month to freshen it up and bring it up on maintenance.

            Center console refresh
            Stock shifter knob
            ECS front brake rotors
            Trunk struts
            Hood struts
Missing plastic fasteners all over the car
            New headlight trim
            New End Links
New Valeo Starter, no crank no start
            ICV cleaned
            Engine bay TPS Sensors
            New Temperature Sensor
            New Guibo
            New CSB
            New Rogue Transmission mounts
            Exhaust hangers

Well, I did this last week, but forgot to post. Finally my last interior piece for the time being, refinished by none other than Alex...100% satisfied as usual.

I wasn't planning to. I think that would be a bit much. I liked having fabric seats and I wanted to break up the all black interior after I swapped in the black trim. I also like the flexibility to change the inserts again down the road if I wanted. I might pick up a spare dash trim set and cover it in houndstooth for fun.

Started working through an OEM navigation retrofit (I know, there are better units that require no effort to install) and found this little guy tucked away behind the dash.

                        Anyone want it?

I had one of those!!! Ended up causing a glitch with my turn signal blinker so I removed it. Not to suggest yours is bad or anything, I think mine developed a fault. I have the original install instructions in pdf if anyone needs it.

Car went in last week to the indy shop I've used for years for a FR suspension refresh at 86k miles after having noticed the front just felt "loose"; all original parts were still on the car at this point.

Replaced: LCAs, FCAB, sway bushes, sway links, rebuilt yellow tag rack and new steering coupler.

Encountered another issue during alignment, so had new Turner adjustable LCAs, the outer lower ball joints and sway links replaced (bushes done 2 years ago with all new diff bushings). Can't wait to drive this thing, getting it back tomorrow. I'll say, just handling the old parts, it is amazing how much difference in play there is compared to the new stuff.

Not an M3 but my E39 is all I have left for my old BMW fix. Got a new Brembo GT kit front and rear installed on the car which solves all of my many complaints about the stock brakes. It’s overkill maybe but this was my treat for selling my E46. Ignore the filth, the car is living outside temporarily while I have some construction done on my house.

A little bit of magic eraser and I think I can hold off on a Coby wheel refresh for another year ..
