Seriously contemplating just selling the replacement and ordering a Karb just for the fit and finish alone, even if the wait time is another 6-8 weeks.

That being said though I’m very happy with the performance of this thing. The sound is absolutely ridiculous above 5K rpm, and my HTE tune has been flawless. Just wish the quality outperformed the price lol.
Which way are you leaning? Return/replace, or just return and wait for a karbonius?

Ah duh, the filter being sandwiched is applying the pressure on the pins. Looks like they just rushed it through at the end of the design phase, drilled some holes close to the edge without any kind of reinforcement, and let 'er fly.

Well they’ll only give me in store credit or a replacement box. So the only route I could go is return and sell the replacement.

I wonder how other airboxes mount their filters then. IMO I think four Allen screws on top and bottom would be the easiest way to secure the box without sacrificing the structural integrity

The other boxes have sufficient meat and distance to edge from the holes. You'd never be able to get to the bottom ones, that's why it's pinned. Bottom edges meet, pivots on the pins to secure the filter, and 4 allens affix the top.

We do still have a few Karbonius airboxes in stock for those not keen on waiting. Unfortunately next production run is at about 10 weeks since they are also on summer break for the next couple weeks. We also stock their carbon snorkels.

Could you post a picture of how the Karbonius box attaches at the bottom where we are experiencing problems.

Which Karb box do you have? The full carbon one with carbon trumpets?

Maybe the V3 box will have pins that don't shear off?

Too bad, I so wanted this product to be successful, and it is to a degree, but if only they could have figured this shit out, having your intake come apart is a big deal as you are now potentially introducing debris into your engine.

I bought the Turner box first because of the price but due to the long wait time I then bought a Karb, selling that V1 Turner box was a good move seeing all these issues since its release.

That’s the one I got from them this week.

Karbonius is the way to go. Never has “you get what you pay for” been so true after reading through this thread.

I went with the Karb Full Carbon box and it’s worth EVERY penny. Just my $.02.

I havent had any issues, yet, but perhaps there's a way to modify the pins not to break on the Turner
