For the bottom reinforcement plate, anybody know the part number for the speed nuts (c clip nuts) ? See pic circled in red.

They are NOT 07129904150 or 07146988451, these were way too small.

Really? Seems like the Front is already sticking out beyond the wheel arch without a spacer. Thank you for your input, my googleness is failing at the moment.

18x9 et26 you won't need any spacers on the front as you noticed. Tbone probably read over the fact you have a square set.

Yeah, he definitely thought staggered. You would only want a 12mm in the rear, but TBH that front fitment is not great looking without some camber and a drop.

Yeah, the pic is just after I put them on, I fully expect the front to settle more after I take it out for a drive. I'm also considering trading them for (4) fronts so I can put them on my XI Touring. I'm pretty sure these would rub on my touring? I have no plans of tracking this until I get the rear subframe/trunk floor addressed.

                Are you on stock suspension?

Yeah if you're talking E46 touring I think they'd rub since they don't have the wide fenders of the M3. You might be better off buying 4 fronts outright and running staggered on both lol.

I see you're in WA too, I love driving out to the peninsula during the summers.

Yup, stock suspension. It's on the list to upgrade right after my rear end reinforcement and Vanos bulletproofing. Going with Koni/Eibach. GC plates. I have stock set of 19's I usually run, so I definitely don't need two sets of 18's. I really don't know if I want to keep this for a track set eventually. Or sell them as is because I just got a good deal on them, and spent Saturday clay baring, polishing and ceramic coating them. I'd love to get a set to go on the Touring. I'd imagine I could find some members who would want to trade 2 fronts for 2 rears? Twice?
Yeah man, up in PA, I haven't had my M on the road much at all over the last few years, (just did SMG to Manual swap last year), and nervous for rear-end and Vanos to grenade my good time. It would be nice to get together with some other e46 M owners as I haven't got to experience any other cars to compare the current health of mine. Let me know if you plan a trip out ! Thanks for your input too, I really appreciate it

Supersprint V1 Stepped headers - they have two 2.5" collectors at the bottom.

Section 1 (stock, euro, us, or aftermarket) all have a piping id of 2.25".

Is it possible to get Supersprint V1 Stepped headers (2.5") to fit a 2.25" Section 1?

Not out of the box, that's what the V2s are for. Problem with the v2s is that they're a different design so if you ever want to upgrade in the future you'll probably be swapping those out for the V1s.

Although, if you know how to weld I guess anything is possible.

I understand they will not fit out of the box.

I have the opportunity to purchase a used set for cheap (relatively). And given I'm doing my motor rebuild I'm thinking why not.

Basically what I'm asking; if I take the V1 headers + my section 1 (Status Gruppe) to a local exhaust shop, they should be able to custom fabricate a flange or even flare the 2.25" pipes to fit the V1's no?

Yeah any decent exhaust shop should be able to weld a flange on there to make them fit.

                              Really stupid question here.

When changing the diff cover with the OE bushings, does the fluid have to be drained? Im about to order a new diff cover for my refresh but had the fluid changed back in May.

                              Thanks.

Yes. If not you will have a big mess.
