Finally got around to swapping back to clears and chrome grilles… Really thought I wasn’t gonna like it, but its in fact the opposite. Extremely happy I went back

Like the clears, have you thought about changing out the yellow bulbs?

pulled out the injectors to get them cleaned. getting the air and fuel rail out seemed impossible until i realized you could get the false bulkhead out
also noticed that the air rail has a few dents in it. unsure when those happened and if it would even affect anything.

Changed to csl rotors & Finally put the 996 brakes on the fronts. Installed the driver side axle, only to realize there’s a nick on the shaft before the threads that is stripping my axle nut 🥲 so I gotta file that down tomorrow.

(dk why it posted pic like that)

Also changed the rear wheel bearings, repacked the grease/changed the axle boots, and put on new brake shoes.

Just finished installing the front carpet, five days short of five years after my car got floodwater inside which forced me to cut out the original carpet. ❤️

Took it out for its first autocross (under my ownership). Had a blast and learned a lot about the car. I have a buddy who is a Porsche instructor and I got some cool ride-alongs, including that yellow 911 Targa in the background. Despite it being a Porsche crowd, I got quite a few compliments on the E46!

Well, here we are. I’m dropping off the headliner tomorrow to get recovered. Red interior with Nogaros + proper 9002 alcantara steering wheel hopefully within six months, will prob paint the calipers yellow at that time to complete the aesthetic side of the car.

The car is ready to drive again, so I’m going to clean the wheels today then see how the car runs.

Finally finished adding the finishing touches to the engine bay. Small stuff such as the peeling M emblem on the beauty cover, battery terminal cover that was missing, strut nut caps and last but not least the M power sticker. Just need to detail the engine bay a bit more.

How much are you doing in red? I've been playing around with the idea of adding some red alcantara to my TiAg and I'm curious to see how it looks.

Imola red conversion. Always loved the TiAg/IR combo, so that’s what I’m gonna do. Seats + door cards.
