Interior got some love, had the roof and pillars upholstered and a new center console with new cubbies and no armrest. Only thing missing is having the Recaro's centers done in M-Texture like the rest of the interior.
Installed a Bosch 2 in 1 oil temperature and pressure sensor. I routed the wiring underneath the airbox into the ECU compartment. Since I Have an Ecumaster, I can connect it directly there. If you use a stock ECU you can't connect it, but you can connect it to one of those small displays to be installed in the air vents. It's a good idea to get an accurate reading on oil temp as stock is just calculated. Also stock does not have pressure, which I find useful.
Also here's a picture of a new steering wheel I put in last week.
I took care of the CPV o-ring today. Can't say I enjoyed it but glad it's out of the way for now. Diff fluid, fuel filter, plugs and coils are the plan for the weekend - we'll see how much I can get done
Had a play around with iDrive Launcher for the Xtrons headunit - it's a nice piece of software, and although NBT iDrive was later than the E46 I still think it fits a whole lot better than the default Xtrons launcher.
Still getting it all setup and working on mapping the second rotary control/SWCs for navigation but pretty pleased with this.
Hit 70k miles on my drive home from the mechanic after rod bearings and new OE engine mounts. The car is so "still" at stoplights now I kept thinking it died. Wow - what a difference - and I don't think my mounts were totally shot to begin with. Great upgrade.
