Some background. My car has had garbage manzo mid pipes since day 1. It was supposed to be a temporary solution for a broken flange section 1 when I bought the car 3-4 years ago but life happens. I welded in some cheapo 200cell cats when I did headers. They smelled like the wash coat was gone in the first 2000 miles also, so not great. That being said, I'm not the best person to judge stock "noise". The car was quiet and stock at low speed and load. It sounded really bad(IMO) under hard load. Resonance at 3000rpm also. Typical buzzy raspy S54.

This just sounds like stock but good to me. Less rasp, more refined, tone/volume is pretty close. Other mods are Karb race box and megan headers. The airbox dominates sound from the divers seat but reflection off buildings, curbs, and underpasses sounds great.

The butt dyno says it makes a little more top end power but butt dynos are pretty unreliable. I used 2.25in piping and 400 cell cats. The manzo stuff was 2.5in.

Some boring stuff in comparison. I replaced the fan clutch to a E36 M3 for hopefully better cooling after reading through another thread.

Also replaced the OAS and the oil vent line from airbox>pan. Both were likely just fine but I guess I wanted something to do and didnt feel like installing my new yellowtag rack just yet.

Found a leak from the return hose>P.S reservoir, all this shit is basically brand new so that's unfortunate.

Maybe a basic hose clamp as opposed to the stock style clamp will fix this as its not leaking out the vent hole, its definitely from the hose connection.

New wheel day. After 6 months of searching for diamond silver, I compromised on color. The new color is slowly winning me over.

TE37 SL in diamond black 18x9.5 +22 265/35 with a 10mm rear spacer. Will need a roll to pull off the rear spacer.

Just need to get my headliner back and the car will finally be in a happy spot.

As annoying as it is, you'll want to completely remove those labels off the headers before starting the engine; otherwise, the burning smell might take a while to go away.

It's the little things. I swapped out my BMW motorsport golf ball shift knob for a new leather 6 speed knob and really enjoying the easier shifts. I've also been without cup holders in this car for years. I tested the Sleepers Speed Shop cup holder designed for 964s and 993s and it bolted right up to my VAC floor plates. Pretty stoked. I can also fit my Yeti cup without any flex or interference with my legs while driving. No more driving one-handed with coffee in the other!

Here's an alternate cup holder solution for the passenger side:

All Cup holders are currently in stock -adjustable height -reversible top plate for passenger/driver side fitment -powder-coated satin black finish -3 piece design -made in Canada - simple installation -fits LHD/RHD -quick disconnect without any tools required -light weight aluminum design Tested only on oem seats an

Sleepers makes mirrored version of this for the passenger side too. I considered the Patina cup holder but heard it was pretty flimsy.
