    SMG relearning/adaptions: 20%
New rear diff bushes + RACP reinforcement: 30% (I did these two things together so can't rate them separately)
Nailing filling (RF) in the tune so that the engine is responding as the SMG model expects: 50%

Me from a few years ago would never have dared doing something like coming to a stop with foot completely off accelerator downshifting from 2nd to 1st. Now I do it pretty much without even thinking - it's smooth, accurate and reliable. Good fun.
    Just curious

Are you modifying the SMG code based on the CSL 255 tune?

Haven't made any changes to the SMG code (other than flashing the "255" tune to match the CSL DME). I don't think there's anything wrong with the SMG code so to speak, more just about giving it the predictable engine response it's expecting.

Thanks, that makes perfect sense to me. I had misunderstood "Nailing filling (RF) in the tune so that the engine is responding as the SMG model expects: 50%" was changes to the SMG code itself.

While I have seemingly been in the minority in loving the SMG, I am very happy with the Mullet Tune along with the CSL "255" SMG code.

With this combo I would never consider a manual swap, and when I finally pull the trigger on a coupe I am happy to know that having SMG is mostly seen as a bad thing in terms of resale desirability!

Yep! decided it was the best price/feature combo for my main use cases. Don't really have any need/desire to do multiple colours of anything at once, but dedicated nozzle for support material will be extremely useful.

Crazy how far they've come since the MendelMax 1.5 I built in 2012!

Nice, I picked up a H2D a few months ago and one of the first things I printed was your CSL SMG Reservoir Bracket using PET-CF. The bracket is such a great solution!

I have tried to clean up the scans that heinzboehmer shared of the Karbonius snorkel because I would love to print one, but I simply keep running out of talent. CAD is hard and feels so counterintuitive. I am not sure what will break first: my will to get the scans cleaned up or my resolve to simply not order a Karbonius snorkel.

Haha I'm glad someone else appreciates it - it was an absolute nightmare to get right, I went through far too many revisions to get it positioning the reservoir just right. Anyway, stoked to hear you're using it!!

I'm keen to see how you go with the snorkel. I've kind of been keen to create a reproduction of the OE snorkel with the flap. The potentiometer and motor are both available as separate parts, so it doesn't seem outside the realms of plausibility to create a complete reproduction. I don't really have any need for it is the thing so hasn't been that far up the priority list. (Also would need an H-series to print it )
