Due for a coolant flush; if aiming for 80/20 distilled to coolant mix would .5 gallon of coolant and rest distilled water get me there? I read the cooling system capacity is around 2.5 gallons?

I dont mind ending up with 90/10 since car sees mostly track driving than street, but worried about lacking lubrication for water pump etc.

Well the little $5 part came, and as expected, doesn't really fit anywhere. So hopefully this will save someone $5 in the future!

Eldor ignition coils do not "snap" in the same way the original's do. Feels like there is a little 1/16" gap between the contact points, cant quite seat them all the way. What am I missing or am I overthinking?

If I install Euro cats and headers with everything else stock, how do I go about flashing the factory Euro tune?

More confused about the flashing part, couldn’t find a DIY.

Basically just use a Euro bin from here that matches my ECU/spec and flash it using MSS Flasher or BMW flash?

That's one way to do it.

Other option is to use WinKFP: https://www.cslregister.com/forum/sh...ad.php?t=12750

First post in this thread has all the variants and their respective regions. Just make sure to look through all the tables and match up the correct ZB num. Can get confusing pretty easily: https://nam3forum.com/forums/forum/s...me-information

Could someone help me understand what the TCU (Telematics Control Unit) with the multiple part numbers is used for?

Well, today, 100F outside and I notice my oil temps like to creep up a little past the middle (12 o'clock) in traffic. Coolant temp is good, new fan clutch, everything is working fine as far as I can tell. I was checking out the CSF oil cooler and wondering, is this a good upgrade for a non-track car or a waste of money? I watched a few videos, can't really tell if fitment is direct swap with the original or modifications are necessary. I would think lower oil temps is good no matter what.

I recall on the old m3f that members essentially degraded their oil cooling effectiveness with a CSF oil cooler, and consensus was to keep OE or replace with new OE oil cooler.
My oil temps creep up similarly in those conditions, maybe 1-2 needle-widths past the midpoint. When I get moving it drops to 1-2 needle-widths below the middle. I run 0w-40 and noticed the oil temps fluctuate a bit more as compared to when I ran 10w-60.

That's exactly how my system is operating, except I'm on 10W-60, thanks!

I haven’t noticed any loss in cooling after switching from CSF to new OE (street driving only). What was noticeable was the significant weight difference.
