I bought a tap and die set after I did my seat a few week ago. 1 bolt was starting to crossthread but taking the tap to hole and die to the bolt to clean up the threads made it thread in much easier. I also saw the seat bolts were "NLA" so that pushed me to buying the tool set.
Could have been old stock I guess — probably wouldn’t hurt to grab some spares if you can find them. Not that they’re that special I guess, McMaster Carr would probably do just fine for some high grade 10x1.5 bolts of the appropriate length.

yeah, I went with a Grade 12.9 SHCS when the Torx seat belt bar bolt stripped out doing the same job lol.

Had a shake down at lime rock park with the new 4.10 and epic tune. Constantly in the power band. Looking at data I'm pulling vs. stock on all straights even with slower exit speed. Was able to match times with 8/10ths corner speed. It was cold and had no grip in the high speed corners. At watkins glen the 4.10 and tune should net me well over a second of lap time...if not two. Feel like I'm cheating.

I would never run the 4.10 in the street car.

Did some cleanup under the hood and replaced some rusty bolts & nuts. Replaced Vanos filter and o rings

Killer, just killer. Will you be too scared to drive it after all this effort and expense?

Probably! Trying to make a rally in early June tho, so the clock is ticking. Will go from paint to a 1.5k mile trip. 😬😬

Thanks man. I went with Shark Blue which is a Porsche color.

In the early 2000s when the E46 M3s started hitting race tracks, I saw a Laguna Seca Blue M3 ripping around Road Atlanta. Shortly thereafter, another one was doing the same at Summit Point. And then another at VIR. For a stock car on street tires, it absolutely blew me away how fast it was on track. Although I wasn’t driving on
